Circulation with Pitorifice Corporation Stops

In all circulation service systems, two service pipes are required, one for water flow into the building, the other for return flow back to the main. If the overall system is designed as a circulating system, pitorifice corporation stops may be used to ‘scoop’ the flowing water into the incoming service pipe. The opposing pitorifice draws the return flow from the building back to the main, resulting in constant circulation in the service pipes. Urecon has further information on flow rates vs. length of service, water velocity in mains, etc. when pitorifices are used. In addition, a passive THERMOCABLE® electric tracing cable may be installed to act as a back up in case of circulation failure.
